LCR Pride Foundation is working in partnership with Liverpool City Council to deliver part of their Get Out, Get Active (GOGA) programme pilot, working to remove the barrier to physical activity and sport for LGBT+ people.
Our project will focus on the LGBT+ community in Liverpool, exploring the current provisions and any gaps, identifying barriers to the community engaging in physical activity and finding ways to address them.
As part of this programme LCR Pride Foundation is currently recruiting a GOGA Programme Activator on a fixed term contract until the end of October 2023, with potential to extend subject to continued project funding.
Speaking of the opportunity, LCR Pride Foundation CEO and Co-founder, Andi Herring, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity to help this brilliant programme to reach its full potential, by reaching the LGBT+ community, breaking down barriers and developing lasting and sustainable pathways to physical activity.”
