New Brighton Pride Arrives on Wirral

This Saturday 27th August will see the first ever New Brighton Pride come to the town’s famous Floral Pavilion.

The day of family friendly fun will begin at 10.30am with talks from Dame Angela Eagle, one of the event organisers, Jamie Lee Carter and other community members before the main event opens. From 11am until 5pm stalls will be open in the Floral Pavilion, representing lots of local services and traders for visitors to enjoy.

The event’s live music programme also starts at 11am, with acts including Pop Vox Choir, Cal Ruddy, Ashes and Wine, Mike Ryan, Lozinky, Loz Swift, Many Hands One Heart, Rosalie Galvin and headliner, Mandi Fisher – from the BBCs All Together Now – who will be singing hits from her new album.

The event will end at the New Brighton Hotel, whose team has supported New Brighton Pride throughout planning the event and providing space for the Pride’s after party – a ticketed event with drag artists and DJs from 7pm until late.
