LCR Pride Foundation was established in 2019 with the founding mission to position the whole of the Liverpool City Region as the most LGBT+ friendly region in the UK and working with the region’s boroughs to facilitate discussion around the specific needs of their LGBT+ communities.
During our early discussions with individuals, organisations including The Studio and LOOSE Charity, and the borough council in Halton, we found there was a desire to bring Halton’s LGBT+ community together through events, initiatives and services.
In order to establish what the LGBT+ community in Halton wants and needs, and the role that LCR Pride Foundation can play, we have launched a consultation. This aims to find out what it means to be LGBT+ in Halton – if they feel safe, supported and seen – and what kind of events and services might enhance and improve the community’s life.
The results of the consultation will be shared with the public and LCR Pride Foundation will work with the community, local organisations and Halton Borough Council to facilitate and develop action points raised.
If you identify as LGBT+ and live in Halton, you can have your say.
Simply go to www.lcrpride.co.uk/halton and complete the survey by midnight on Wednesday 9th December 2020.
