In the run up to our MarchONline and what should have been Pride in Liverpool weekend, we saw our region’s inclusive sports groups challenging themselves and fundraising for good causes.
Liverpool Tritons RUFC raised £400 for LCR Pride Foundation, while Liverpool Frontrunners and Mersey Marauders FC raised £1,895 between them for a number of LGBT+ charities, including us!
We always appreciate support like this, as a registered charity we need public donations to continue our work supporting the LGBT+ community in the Liverpool City Region, but in the current climate, when everyone is impacted financially by the COVID-19 crisis, it means even more.
With fundraising activities scaled back or cancelled altogether during the pandemic, charities like ourselves had limited opportunity to generate funds to support our work. In fact, according to research by the Institute of Fundraising a massive 84% of charities have reported a decrease or significant decrease in income.
While you can always set yourself a challenge and raise funds the traditional way, by donating money raised through our Donate Page, there are also other easy ways to raise money for us.
