LCR Pride Festival has once again partnered with the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ film Festival, a global celebration of LGBTQ+ stories from around the world and that is also home to the largest short film prize in the world – the coveted £40,000 Iris Prize, provided by the Michael Bishop Foundation
As a partner to the film festival, LCR Pride Foundation is invited to nominate one film for consideration in the Iris Prize Best British Short category. All films in the Best British shortlist will be broadcast on Film4 and be streamed on Channel 4 for one year.
We are seeking short film submissions with a connection to Liverpool City Region, or the wider North West region, which are by, for, about or of interest LGBTQ+ audiences, to consider for the Best British Short category.
All submissions must be 39 minutes or less, and should be for, about or of interest to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or intersex audiences. The films must have been completed within two years prior to the submission deadline.
