Film With Pride’s #FilmFriday is back with another short film for your viewing enjoyment Lifeline by Lewis Carter and Cwch Deilen (Leaf Boat) a 2D animation in Welsh with English subtitles.
As ever, the films will be available to stream from the Film with Pride Facebook Page from 5pm on Friday 12th June until midnight on the same day. There will be more information about the creator’s inspiration and influences over on the LCR Pride Foundation’s news pages on Saturday 13th June.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, two self-isolating office workers, both lonely in their own way, connect via a series of progress reports. Each becoming the other’s lifeline to a world beyond quarantine.

Learning to love someone can be scary, but it can also lead to the most marvellous adventure. With a striking illustrative style, writer and director Efa Blosse-Mason tells the story of Heledd and Celyn who navigate the undiscovered and murky waters of entering a new relationship.
Facing vulnerability and a sea monster, the lovers’ odyssey tests the strength of their Leaf Boat. Through the bewitching power of 2D animation, the film explores the internal worlds of the characters’ emotions which are visualised through seasons and stormy seas.
