Who are we?
LCR Pride Foundation is a charitable organisation working to make Liverpool City Region the most LGBT+ friendly region in the UK. We champion the rights of LGBT+ people living in and visiting the region. We fight to highlight the daily barriers they face and create an inclusive culture for all to enjoy and participate in, through a diverse programme of events, initiatives and campaigns.

What is a Privacy Policy? Why do we need it?
At LCR Pride Foundation, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy when you engage with us online.
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products, events and services, to make a donation, apply to take part in our activities, or if you register to receive one of our newsletters on our mailing list.
This policy covers what this information is, how we use this information, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others, how we keep it secure and your rights to view, amend and/or request its deletion.

This policy is reviewed at least every 3 years, but it is anticipated that this will be done more frequently. The policy’s last review date is in each page footer.
LCR Pride Foundation reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, but where possible will aim to give at least 5 working days notice of changes to those affected.
Should the change be in response to an emergency/crisis management situation, or one where the changes are deemed to be significant to require the team member to re-sign the policy before continuing their duties, then the LCR Pride Foundation also reserves the right to temporarily suspend user rights to any of its platforms.

Our mailing list is managed by Mailchimp. Information will be stored in Mailchimp until you tell us you would like to be removed from the system by clicking unsubscribe or emailing us, or the point in which Mailchimp removes it for inactivity. |
How long do we keep the information?
Retention information for the information we collect is in the table above. We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid). We will hold your personal information on our systems for any longer than it is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. This includes for marketing purposes or you have specifically asked for us to share your information; for example with competitions we promote with third parties. You control if you opt in or opt out of this agreement at the time of contact/entry.
LCR Pride Foundation processes data on behalf of some organisations. Where this is the case, you will be provided with their privacy policy. Where we process data for others, this is kept separate from LCR Pride Foundation’s data and is not used by us for any other purpose, unless you have instructed us that you would like us to.
Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents, sub-contractors, sub-processors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process donations and send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract(s) in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes.
Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond LCR Pride Foundation for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about the vital work we do and our exciting products and services, then you can select your choices by not ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.

Once we receive your information, we endeavour to ensure ensure its security on our systems by employing only trusted, paid for systems from well known providers for whom we know their security arrangements.

By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EU. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK.
