LCR Pride Foundation Board of Directors

LCR Pride Foundation seeks new board members

LCR Pride Foundation is seeking to recruit new trustees to join its recently established Board of Directors.

It is particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with backgrounds in Finance, Legal and Community Engagement. The new board members will join Co-Chair and Operations Director, Andi Herring, Co-Chair and Marketing Director, John Bird and Governance Director, Karen O’Donnell.

The recruitment drive comes as the new organisation prepares to deliver its first programme of social and cultural events, including the annual Pride festival and a range of wider-reaching cultural and engagement activities.

The LCR Pride Foundation was established to extend the reach of Pride across the Liverpool City Region, delivering ambitious events and campaigns and supporting collaborative working, with the aim of making it the most LGBT+ friendly region in the UK.

Co-Chair John Bird said: “We have a bold plan for the LCR Pride Foundation, which will build on the history of Liverpool Pride and achieve our mission to make Liverpool City Region the most LGBT+ friendly place in the UK.

“We might be new but we have the support of a team of committed volunteers, dedicated partners and big ambitions. We are keen to hear from individuals who share our vision and want to join us on this exciting journey.”

Role descriptions for the specific roles will be made available shortly. However, to express interest in becoming a board members please email your CV and a covering note detailing your area of expertise to [email protected]
