Ahead of the weekend’s festivities, the team at LCR Pride Foundation wants to wish you all a happy, healthy and relaxing Christmas break. If you are heading out into the city to celebrate, please take care and be sure to visit some of our 53 “You’re Safe Here” accredited venues.
Staff at accredited venues have been trained on how to deal with an extensive range of scenarios, including recognising hate crimes and incidents relating to gender and sexuality, race, disability and more, supporting victims and how to report hate crimes, as well as awareness of sexual violence, unsafe drinking, grooming and student safety.
Visitors to venues carrying the “You’re Safe Here” mark can be confident that staff will know what to do if a customer is a victim of a crime, needs help, or is faced with intimidation or other unacceptable behaviour.
