OPEN Media is supporting Pride Month for the second year running with their combined digital out of home and social media campaign.
The ‘Open and Proud’ campaign is designed to celebrate the LGBT+ community with a month of inspirational quotes and creative images from a diverse range of people nationwide.
The campaign launches with Ellie Diamond and Cherry Valentine from Drag Race UK Season 2 and includes a wealth of representatives from the media industry, charity and public sector, including LCR Pride Foundation CEO, Andi Herring.
‘Open and Proud’ is part of a longer list of socially responsible campaigns created internally by OPEN Media, which is also one of LCR Pride Foundation’s media partners.
The past two years has seen the company also show support for International Women’s Day and Black History Month through the impactful combination of social media and digital out of home advertising.
Speaking of the campaign, Andi Herring said: “It’s an honour to be included in this campaign. Visibility and solidarity has never been more important for our community and OPEN media is providing a fantastic platform for voices that too often go unheard.”
OPEN Media Operations Manager, Lauren Williams said: “At OPEN Media we believe it’s vital to use our wide platform to raise awareness and amplify the voices of those who still face adversity — especially after the past year. We are thrilled to celebrate those in the LGBTQ+ community living their most authentic lives to mark Pride Month 2021!”
The campaign is being run in collaboration with Agent and MSB Solicitors, with both businesses sponsoring the month-long campaign as a show of solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community.
Agent CEO, Paul Corcoran said: “While we aren’t able to celebrate Pride in person this year, we cannot let the occasion pass without marking it. It is campaigns like this giving a voice to our community that have a meaningful impact on society and embody everything the Pride movement stands for.
“We should all be proud to be who we are, and to shout it from the rooftops. I hope this campaign empowers people to do just that, and to realise that their individuality is their superpower.”
MSB Solicitors Managing Partner, Emma Carey said: “At MSB, we are firm believers in fighting for the causes you are passionate about, both as a business and as individuals. Our diversity is what makes us and should be celebrated, so we’re incredibly proud to be supporting this campaign again, with like-minded businesses who share our values and truly practice what they preach.”
