OPEN Media IWD 2021 Campaign

OPEN Media is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021 with its second nationwide campaign, displaying inspirational messages from women leaders across their entire digital portfolio, including Trans Day of Visibility (TDoV) Liverpool director, Imogen Christie.

Supporting the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, #ChooseToChallenge, the campaign celebrates and amplifies the achievements of women in all arenas,  to inspire and encourage a meaningful change towards equality.

Running from 1st – 14th March, campaign images will appear across OPEN Media’s social platforms and the entirety of its digital portfolio, which boasts screens in prominent locations in Liverpool, Sheffield, London, Wakefield, Plymouth and Manchester.

Imogen appears alongside 53 other women, including fellow Liverpool trailblazers, World Champion Athlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Savera UK CEO and Founder, Afrah Qassim and BBC Radio Merseyside’s and iWoman founder, Ngunan Adamu.

Speaking of the campaign, Imogen said: “It’s fantastic to be a part of this campaign and an honour to appear amongst a host of truly remarkable women. The campaign not only celebrates the achievements of all women, but also continues to push forward in the journey for equality for all women, which is absolutely vital.”

LCR Pride Foundation CEO, Andi Herring, added: “OPEN Media’s brilliant IWD 2021 campaign really embraces diversity and inclusivity, which is the foundation of our ongoing media partnership. It’s also wonderful to see so many familiar faces from Liverpool City Region gracing OPEN’s screens!”

Fiona Ravlic, OPEN Media National Sales Director, said: “We are thrilled to be running our second campaign celebrating IWD, the theme for 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge. Our first campaign was a huge success and our 2021 campaign is even bigger and better with 53 women committed to the campaign.”

“It’s so important for OPEN Media to celebrate all the brilliant women involved but also recognise that during the past year women have had to sacrifice so much more in their work/life balance due to the pandemic.”

The IWD 2021 campaign has been sponsored by Liverpool businesses Agent Marketing & MSB Solicitors.

For those close to our screens up and down the country, you can head out and see the messages in person at each of our locations. The images will also be shared on OPEN’s social platforms here.
