Karen O’Donnell

Governance Director

Karen is a qualified Chartered Secretary with more than 15 years in corporate governance and experience as an Associate of the Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators. She has experience working in the not-for-profit sector, financial services and in investment management.

Before qualifying Karen worked in Liverpool’s cultural industries as Administrative Director for Merseyside Young People’s Theatre Company and as Development Officer at the Liverpool Philharmonic. She also taught courses for both Hope Street Limited and LIPA. She has also been a board member for both the Theatre Resource Centre and FACT.

Karen still keeps a toe firmly in the creative world, forming part of arts creative Love artGlobal with artist Jay Wheeler, having produced and filmed A Day in the Life, a six minute short film selected for five international film festivals. Her photography work has also been exhibited and appeared in both local and national press.

Karen is excited to be bringing her governance experience to the LCR Pride Foundation and to build on the fantastic work of Liverpool Pride after being a march participant on many occasions.
